On 06 January 2009 PBS's Frontline aired the story of the continuing struggle for residents in Louisiana following Hurricane Katrina. I highly urge you to watch this video to see what our brothers and sisters from the south are still facing. It articulately illustrates the complete failure of the government in helping to prevent and then continuing to fail in rebuilding efforts.
The federal government refused to financially assist the local energy company that had to file for bankruptcy. Imagine what New Orleans would look like today now with a $700+ billion dollar bailout.
